As early as ancient civilization, herbal medicines have been used to treat common diseases. Today, traditional medicines have been replaced by drugs and brand medications, which commonly cause unpleasant side effects. That’s why, some people still go back to herbal medicines as an alternative medicine for their sickness.

Marshmint or commonly known as Yerba buena (Mentha cordifolia Opiz) contains Menthalactone which has been shown to have analgesic or pain-relieving activity for treatment of headaches, toothaches, arthritis, and dysmenorrhea. Further, it has been clinically tested to be safe and effective as an analgesic for relieving post-operative moderate to severe pain after circumcision, dental extractions and childbirth (post- episiorrhaphy) within 30 minutes.
