Environmental sustainability has never been more pressing than today. Recently, the Philippine government has forced business owners in Boracay, the once world-renowned tourist destination for its clear and clean water, to temporarily close down for a massive beach clean-up. One of the contributing factors for the clean-up is the improper wastewater management, which is common with hotels and other business entitites around tourist destinations in the country.
Fortunately, an innovation is now at hand that addresses this problem. A formulation from naturallyoccurring organominerals reduces smell and muddy color in wastewaters and septic waters. Its application stimulates growth of indigenous aerobic microorganisms in wastewater and boost the degradation of organic pollutants. The use of organominerals signifi cantly improves water quality based on the effl uents standards set by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
