Swine production is one of the sources of livelihood for many Filipinos. In rural areas, most of the families own a pig or two. More and more are becoming bold in taking a chance into this livelihood but in order to ensure profit, swine raisers must first safeguard the health of their livestock.
The PEDV RT-LAMP test kit is a quick, reliable, and cost-effective diagnostic tool for the early detection and control of Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDV) in swine. With fast, early, and timely diagnosis of PED infection, swine raisers can greatly reduce production losses by minimizing mortalities associated with the disease. It would also enhance the capability of private and regional animal disease diagnostic laboratories in the diagnosis of the PED virus infection.
