Hi-Yeast is a yeast-based biocontrol agent (BCA) that prevents fruit and vegetable decay caused by fungal and bacterial pathogens during postharvest handling. Applying Hi-Yeast as an alternative and/or supplement to chemicals used in controlling postharvest diseases can reduce the human health and environmental risks that comes with the use of existing synthetic control agents.

The Hi-Yeast BCA can be applied on fruits and vegetables, specifically, banana, tomato, calamansi, mango, garlic, nuts, and onion.
