Foraged-Based Pellet Feeds for Goats

Goat raising is one of the growing livelihoods of many Filipinos especially in rural areas. It is a growing venture among small and medium enterprises because of the low capital investment and easier maintenance compared to other livestock. In order to raise quality products from goats, their food intake should be monitored.

Aside from the grazing or pasturing, pellet feeds are good source of nutrition for goats. Pellet feeds are bite-sized pieces of sundried, compressed, and nutritionally balanced mixture of forage and grain ingredients such as ipil-ipil, rice bran, copra, and molasses.
