“As the lead agency in the promotion, transfer, and commercialization of DOST-funded and -generated technologies, we at DOST-TAPI realized that in order for our stakeholders to fully achieve the potentials of their technologies, they would need assistance to fulfill initial Research and Development first,” said Engr. Dir. Garcia added that the conception of #SPICEStoDOSTLabS offers the use of our premier and world-class laboratories and facilities.”

In light of the coronavirus disease or COVID-19 pandemic, DOST turns to digital media to connect various stakeholders and clients in different places at the same time, #SPICEStoDOSTLabS included.

A virtual laboratory tour of the DOST-MIRDC’s chemical analysis, mechanical testing, auto-parts testing, non-destructive testing, and calibration laboratories which are equipped with instruments in determining the quality in metal products that is necessary for continued competitiveness in both local and foreign markets will be featured.

“We want to create a collaborative and innovative environment between the DOST system and industry players especially the MSMEs through the use of our laboratories and facilities, and technical consultations,” Director Garcia emphasized.
